Supported file formats

Upload any file, and we handle the rest. pelajarin.ai supports:

Type Formats Maximum size
Documents PDF, DOCX, DOC, PPTX, PPT, XLSX, XLS 100 MB
Text TXT, MD 100 MB
Images JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC 25 MB
Audio MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, WEBA 300 MB
Video MP4, MOV, WEBM, AVI, MKV 500 MB
YouTube any public video link no size limit

A single note can be built from up to 5 files at once.

Notes on each type

  • Documents: the most common choice. Scanned PDFs work too, but clean digital text gives the best summaries.
  • Images: a photo of a whiteboard or a page from your book can be uploaded directly. You do not need to turn it into a PDF first.
  • Audio: great for recorded lectures. The AI transcribes the recording first, then builds your note from the transcript.
  • Video: works like audio; the spoken content is transcribed and summarized.
  • YouTube: paste the link, no download needed. See Turn YouTube videos into notes.

Uploading papers for Exam Question Prediction

The Exams section has its own rules, different from a normal note upload. See Exam question prediction for how to use it.

Free Pro
Formats PDF and images only (JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC) same
Size per paper 10 MB 50 MB
Papers per exam 3 6

These limits differ from an ordinary note upload. See Free vs Pro for the full plan comparison.

Word, PowerPoint, Excel, audio and video cannot be uploaded to Exams, even though all of them work for ordinary notes. If your material is a PPT or DOCX, convert it to PDF first, or use it to create a note instead.

Errors you might see:

  • Maksimal 6 berkas per ujian. β€” you have reached the paper limit.
  • Unsupported paper type β€” the format is not a PDF or an image.
  • Paper exceeds the size limit β€” the file is over your plan's per-paper size.

If a file you picked does not appear in the list at all, it is usually over your plan's size limit, or you have already reached the file count.

My file won't upload

  • Check the size first against the table above. Anything over the limit is rejected before processing starts.
  • Check the format is in that table too. An unlisted format is rejected however small the file is.
  • Large files take longer, especially audio and video, which have to be transcribed first. Watch the progress indicator before retrying.
  • If a specific file keeps failing and its size and format are both fine, contact us through the help center and include the file type, its size, and a screenshot of the error.
